Looking for Reviews of Popular UK Firms?

So many firms all saying how amazing they are but only a handful actually have public reviews. This is simply because most people treat legal matters very differently from a hotel stay or a CD player. (Yes, those still exist.) The matters are often hugely private so giving details to strangers won't be easy. But also most don't end immediately after you've just had something go right or wrong and people can be concerned about insulting a firm you may need to clear some last minute things up with a few months later. So these are some editorial reviews that might help:

Pointon & Co Solicitors: I'll go in'. Not even on their own Facebook page. case focus) and experience (e.g. Pointon & Co have not just embraced this move, but it's the very first thing pushed on their website . But www.pointonsolicitors.com is not owned by the firm and therefore does not redirect y...

Alexander JLO Solicitors: Of the few hundreds public reviews available online for this firm, most are positive: class="infoquote "I was kept informed throughout the whole process and picked up my keys yesterday. This type of complaint should absolutely be ignored and should really be deleted. ...

Ventura Law Ltd: Gave solid opinion backed by facts. The belief being that firms which focus solely on one particular area of law can handle such cases better than general practice firms which state much wider case range coverage. Is it possible for a law firm to be 'specialists' in s...

GloverPriest Solicitors: We've seen negative reviews for when the buyer seller pulls out, for incorrect local searches, for third party delays - all of which the client believed their solicitor should have been able to sort. But just as an example, the largest conveyancing firm in the UK deali...

Jarmans Solicitors Ltd: There are many things people can use to gauge whether a law firm stands out from the rest. That's a general complaint across the industry as a whole though, not something we think only Jarmans could possibly look at. we have worked with Barry and he was great considering the...

HUMD Solicitors: A great option to provide people if possible. Of course, if you come across a firm with only one newly qualified solicitor on board stating they are experts in every area of law - move along. class="infoquote "An 83-year-old widowed nurse who worked for the NHS for 30...

BES Legal Ltd: That was all the information they gave though. We only saw one negative review amongst the regular boards which said they couldn't get through to the firm on the phone. (No really, we've seen some firms offering 'free iPads!' in exchange for filing a personal injury claim ...

Shaw and Co Solicitors: We've even seen firms advertise a 150-year history simply because they moved into the building owned by an older firm. Literally dozens of new websites pop up daily because injuries such as whiplash are often easy, quick and lucrative. If your case is even slightly problemat...

Hallmark Solicitors: We offer exceptional career opportunities to our solicitors, aspiring graduates and business support professionals."< div> One question we get asked alot is 'how do you know which firm has experienced staff?' . Even then they'll simply be trying to convince you to buy ...

Kuddus Solicitors: Whilst a 200-year old firm might stick you with a 1-year qualified solicitor to defend you in court. It doesn't take long to realise that no-one wants to read them. . It probably sounds like a no-brainer that if you've ...

Linkilaw Ltd: Enjoyed working with them!"< div> But whilst some of the reviews might sound a little odd, we don't think any are fake . etc. Someone stating 'Established 1880' means nothing really. What do they cover? Whilst Business Law probably sounds like a very focused cas...

33Legal Ltd: Then there was an array of case specific titles such as www.cicaclaims.co.uk, www.nhsdirectclaim.co.uk, www.medicalnegclaim.com and a few more relating to the more recent popular claim type of holiday sickness such as www.sickwhilstaway.com - all within the first few pages o...

Ross Coates Solicitors: Similarly the firm is no longer using the Harmony Law branding so www.harmonylaw.co.uk and www.harmonylaw.com don't even redirect to the main site. Of course, such mixups when you're talking about tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds over a property is naturally goin...

Hammond Trotter Solicitors: Oddly there are only a handful of reviews on Google and each office is treated individually. The usual suspects such as Yellow Pages, Yelp, TrustPilot and so on show dozens of comments providing high praise and high star values . The ones above are taken from the independen...

Driscoll Kingston: But specialists in any case type can only be a plus. For example many would prefer to have a dozen reviews all saying "Would totally recommend!" rather than a varied selection of comments such as "Timely manner", "regular updates", "solicitor always available and happy to a...

SBW Law Ltd: Some originally cost a lot from mobiles but are now free. Highly recommend"< div> class="infoquote "Professional, reliable and trustworthy. So whilst the company branding is just over a decade old, there are six decades worth of combined experience already in it. Alway...

Graysons Solicitors: the firm have placed the reviews themselves or paid someone else to do it for them. We didn't check other common errors such as greysons, graysonssolicitors or hyphenated versions because there are just too many. That's why we always recommend reading the reviews rath...

IWC Probate & Will Services: Many of the people coming through the 1to1Legal website are on their phone searching for a legal professional to contact there and then. This is great for the consumer and will help a lot when you're trying to compare one firm with another. You have to be pretty confident...

Thamina Solicitors Ltd: But that's quite understandable. Let's begin with some background you might not be aware of: class="infoquote "Thamina Kabir is a British-Bangladeshi lawyer, activist, and Mrs Bangladesh Universe 2013. The idiom 'Jack of all Trades' is great when attached to a local...

Alfred James & Co Solicitors LLP: Usually firms try to get in as many buzz words as possible straight away such as 'modern', 'tech savvy', 'cost effective', 'established', or vague claims such as 'one of the most (whatever) in the country'. The fact someone has been given the firm 1 star ratings with no com...

Briffa Legal Ltd: Mini-articles stating how great the firm is at dealing with x, y, or z. "commercials". She then did 7 years at another international Intellectual Property firm before joining Briffa in 2001. Why am I bringing this up? Because I'm about to write a very glowing review...

Helix Law: It's rare to find articles written by the solicitors themselves with a clear passion for the topic they're writing about. Real lists that even use bullet points! For space saving though, I'm going to have to compact it a little and skip the line breaks: class="infoqu...

Joanna Connolly Solicitors: No conflicts - which is nice. They do not act for banks or lending institutions, allowing them a clear focus on one side of the fence. For consumer credit disputes, they also list themselves as consumer credit specialists, helping consumers when court proceedings are either ...

CFG Law: To us, pulling together all these extra resources and making them part of the claiming firm's duty rather than the client's - seems utterly logical. The fact more firms don't include them on their websites boggles the mind. One clue is in the Team section of their website,...

HJA Solicitors: The clientele and Legal Aid dependancy would shape any firm in a certain direction. At the time of writing there were 162 on TrustPilot, 81 on Reviews, 60 on Google, and so on. However it shouldn't be ignored as a result. We list firms with more than a dozen office locations...

CSL Law Ltd: There's not much they can do about that now. That brings us to navigation. "Can I change the locks to the family home?", "What are the consequences if I were to move out of the family home?", "My husband wife has threatened to stop paying the mortgage and bills, what c...

RSR Law Ltd: As we've mentioned before in other articles - No Win, No Fee does not mean no fees at all and firms are not always clear about this on their websites, often mixing in other catchphrases such as "100% compensation" as well. The offered service seems identical to that promised...

The Johnson Partnership: That was it, and despite having never been a criminal solicitor - I would imagine the old 'honey vs vinegar' adage would apply when dealing with the police anyway? It wasn't until we put quotation marks around the firm's name (which forces Google to match the search te...

Auto Logistic Solutions Ltd: But that's my point. White Collar Legal: The owner's profile isn't full of hobbies, favourite books, or pet's names either. Every single one is checked out to see if they will be a good fit. Having also just passed the big four-oh, I'll probably be leaking more and more in the coming years anyway ... If you'r...

rhw Solicitors LLP: We always sing the praises of firms that list staff profiles, and rhw go the whole hog with photos, history, hobbies, etc. Checking the Legal Ombudsman's database, again there is only one complaint registered against rhw and that's back in 2015 resulting in no action b...
